Chrysalis Teasers for August 2023; eExtra’s marathon of telenovelas premieres continues this Wednesday 23 August with the debut of Chrysalis, taking over from Hart van Goud, which concludes on Tuesday.
The story unfolds in the opulent realm of the costly Koroglu Hotel, concealing a hidden chamber, and revolves around the captivating and pure-hearted Nalan, employed as the hotel’s architect.
Nalan’s mother, Feride, is an orthodox and fixated woman who controls every aspect of Nalan’s life, including her appearance and companions.
We soon uncover the reason behind Feride’s resentful demeanor: Nalan is actually her own granddaughter—her daughter Sema was a teenager who tragically passed away during childbirth, and Feride has never forgiven the child for “taking” her own daughter’s life.
Enter Sedat, the heir to the hotel.
He resides in the family mansion, where his father Rafet closely monitors the family’s expenditures with the assistance of Tako, a member of the household staff assigned to spy on the family, ensuring compliance with Rafet’s regulations.
Rafet desires Sedat to wed a suitable girl and forget about his undignified affair with Cana, a married mother of two.
Sedat’s sister, Selen, intervenes and informs their parents that she has encountered a suitable partner for Sedat—Nalan—suggesting they may be an ideal match.
