Quinton Fortune is one of the African players lucky enough to play and make a name in Europe. Like other players, he was passionate about football and started from a young age.
Quinton Fortune originally started his footballing career professionally with English side Tottenham Hotspur.
After some years with the English side, he left for Spain and signed with FC Mallorca. Quinton Fortune made the switch from England to Spain in 1995.
While playing for Mallorca, he caught the attention of Spanish giant Atlético Madrid. Quinton Fortune signed with the club but was subjected to limited game time and mainly played for the B side.
In August 1999, he had a trial with the English side, Manchester United, and quickly caught the interest of the Spanish side, Real Valladolid.

In 2012, Quinton Fortune returned to his old club, Manchester United, and trained with the reserve team while pursuing his coaching badges.
